Tappanyaki Chicken Sandwich – Night Market Staff Wanted

We are looking for reliable, high-energy team members to join our booth for upcoming food festivals and night market events. This is a great opportunity for anyone who loves the buzz of night market life, enjoys working in a fast-paced team, and wants to be part of a delicious street food experience.

We specialize in Tappanyaki-style grilled chicken sandwiches – hot, fresh, and made to order on the griddle. That’s why we need people who are comfortable working on a hot iron plate and can keep up with the rush.

Responsibilities

- Take customer orders and process payments
- Grill and assemble chicken sandwiches quickly and consistently on the teppanyaki grill
- Pack and serve food with speed and accuracy
- Assist with prep work (chopping, marinating, sauce prep) during events
- Help set up and tear down the booth each shift
- Keep the cooking area, utensils, and serving station clean and food-protected at all times
- Restock ingredients, packaging, and supplies as needed
- Stay in sync with team members during peak hours
- Greet customers with a positive, friendly attitude
- Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures
- Be available for evening, weekend,



and outdoor event shifts

Required Skills

- Reliable, on-time, and takes ownership of their station
- Comfortable working on a flat-top grill / teppanyaki iron plate (experience required)
- Able to work under pressure and handle high-volume rushes
- Friendly and approachable – you’re the face of our booth!
- Physically able to stand for long hours and lift light-to-medium supplies
- Basic English communication skills required
- Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus
- Previous experience in fast food, food trucks, food festivals, or teppanyaki/cooking roles is strongly preferred
- Must have open availability for night market/event schedules, including evenings and weekends

We are a street-food style vendor serving Tappanyaki Chicken Sandwich – crispy grilled chicken, signature sauce, and fresh toppings, all made hot right in front of our customers. We’ve been a regular name at local festivals and night markets across the GTA, and we’re looking for passionate cooks to help bring the heat this season.

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
