Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are a Family-Owned construction equipment rental, sales and service company based out of Burlington, Ontario. We have an immediate opening for a licensed heavy equipment mechanic to join our growing team. The role involves diagnosing and repairing our rental fleet as well as our customer’s equipment at our location and on the road. The equipment consists of Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, Forklifts, Telehandlers and Bobcats.

Job description:

- Diagnosing and estimating costs of repairs

- Inspect and test equipment to determine any faults or potential issues and to ensure all equipment is in safe working order

- Completing diagnosed repairs

- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure manufacture specification compliance;

- Maintain a clean and organized work area and vehicle

- Complete workorder’s and paperwork associated with maintenance and repairs

- Perform annual inspections to equipment in compliance with manufacturer’s specifications

- Providing service and inspections to equipment off site at jobsites or customer locations

Requirements:

- The ability to work well with others

- Safe work practices and behaviors at all times





- Experience and knowledge of Aerial Lift and Material Handling equipment including the maintenance and repair of said equipment.

- A valid G-class drivers license with a clean drivers abstract

- Safe driving practices

- Valuable customer service skills

- The ability to perform heavy lifting

- A willingness to mentor and assist up and coming technicians

Additional Qualifications

- Preference will be given to a 421A Heavy Equipment licensed or 310T person;

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
