JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Associate

Summary

The Sales Associate team member works in a fast-paced environment that involves constant interaction with customers, delivering friendly and courteous service while explaining product perks and fulfilling customer needs. This role also involves store maintenance such as stocking shelves, merchandising and general housekeeping. Weekend availability is required.

*Responsibilities and Tasks*

Customer Service

· Meet, greet and thank customers and provide friendly, informed service.

· Guides customer to the location of requested items.

· Locates products in the warehouse.

· Suggest value-added and related products by actively listening to customer needs.

· Use creativity to design balloon décor and bouquets for every holiday and occasion.

· Learns about new products on a regular basis.

Operations

· Ensures that retail basics tasks are executed efficiently (e.g., stocking, labels, facing, etc.).

· Stocks shelves and merchandise display areas using modules and planograms as guidelines.

· Knowledge and proficiency in the use of helium to prepare balloon bouquets.

· Process customer transactions through the POS system.

· Retail sales experience

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

· Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 25lbs daily.

· Standing/walking for 8 hours.

· Ability to climb a ladder while carrying products of various weights.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Temporary

Pay: From $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
