Registered Dental Hygienist – Orthodontic and Periodontal Practice

Ortho: Monday to Thursday

Perio: Tuesday to Friday

Position Overview

Orthodontic Hygienist: We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, teens, and families and is committed to providing outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities

- Archwire changes and orthodontic adjustments
- Bonding and removal of braces
- Cementation and removal of orthodontic appliances
- Delivery and monitoring of transparent aligner treatment
- Providing oral hygiene instruction and reinforcement
- Reviewing treatment progress with patients and parents
- Educating patients on appliance care and compliance
- Assisting with clinical records, digital scanning, and documentation
- Supporting the orthodontist in the delivery of efficient, high-quality care

Qualifications

- Registered Dental Hygienist in valuable standing with the CDHO
- Orthodontic experience is an asset, but willing to train the right candidate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment





Perio Hygienist: This opportunity offers the best of both worlds: traditional hygiene care plus a treatment coordinator component — giving you variety in your day and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments and charting
- Provide scaling and root planing procedures
- Take diagnostic radiographs and assist with CBCT imaging setup
- Post-operative checks and suture removal
- Collaborate with the periodontist on treatment planning
- Present and explain periodontal treatment plans to patients
- Communicate with referring general dentists to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

- Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Ontario
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality care
- Solid computer knowledge, including typing and proficiency with Microsoft Word
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- New graduates are welcome to apply!
