We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Players Assistant to join our team at Emerald Links Golf and Country Club. As a Players Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the golf course, focusing on speed of play, adherence to rules and regulations, and overall guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

- Follow all employment policies and procedures outlined in the golf course employment handbook.
- Maintain the pace of play and track pace of play to ensure an optimal golfing experience.
- Provide on-course guest service, ensuring the satisfaction of every guest on the golf course.
- Enforce on-course rules and regulations while creating a professional and friendly environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized golf course, addressing any issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with the starter and pro-shop regarding guest status and other pertinent information.
- Assist in other team member duties as deemed necessary, including tasks in the pro-shop, starter area, and back shop.
- Ensure equal care for all guests, regardless of their needs, and address inquiries and requests efficiently and professionally.
- Handle complaints in a pleasant manner, record them for supervisors,



and work towards resolutions.
- Record and document safety hazards or other important situations, reporting them to supervisors daily.
- Anticipate problems or situations in the pro shop and take proactive action to prevent issues.
- Utilize the assistance of the Starter to record start times and calculate speed of play for all groups.
- Seek guidance from Golf Professionals and Pro-shop Managers for daily duties, direction, or problem-solving beyond your capacity.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a golf course setting or a related customer service field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Skilled demeanor with a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members in various departments.
- Understanding of golf rules and etiquette is an asset.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Smart Serve is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.60 per hour
