Position Summary:

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will assist with the Human Resources Manager with all Human Resources activities at Grifols Canada.

In this role, the HR Generalist will be a key player in understanding the business needs of the company, be a business partner to the management team and an advocate for the employee base.

Position Responsibilities:

- Talent Acquisition

o Manage the full cycle recruitment for Grifols as it meets its aggressive growth plans

o Responsible for finding key talent, developing the company brand in different professional communities, and maintain a healthy talent pipeline

o Partner and train the department managers in best-in-class recruitment practices.

o Manage the recruitment experience for the candidates and manage the negotiation process

o Build onboarding schedules and plans for the new hires that ensure their successful assimilation into the role and the company

- Talent Management

o Build key performance indicators (HR KPIs) for Grifols’ available positions

o Work with the executive and management team to identify role-based objectives

o Roll out a performance management talent that helps identify and retain key talents

- HR Business Partnering

o Partner with the company leadership to understand the priorities and needs of hiring, retaining, and growing talent

o Advise and coach leaders on all people-related issues including performance coaching,



managing people and organizational challenges

- Employee Relations

o Counsel employees and managers to help resolve conflicts and promote development

o Conduct internal investigations when there is a formal complaint, internal policy violations, employee concerns, or any such conflicts

- HR Compliance and Metrics

o Ensure compliance regarding regulations and laws by executing necessary policies and procedures

o Roll out and maintain HR tools that are deemed applicable such as an HRIS, vacation tracking system etc.

o Prepare, analyze and maintain all HR-related metrics that support effective decision making

- Learning and Development

o Work with managers at all levels to identify training needs of each department

o Establish a culture of learning in consultation with team leaders and managers

o Develop training plans for top talent

o Run management development programs in line with the organizational needs and goals

- Employee Engagement

o Play a pivotal role in defining the company culture

o Build initiatives and run programs that support a collaborative culture

o Consult and coach management on building an inclusive, diverse, and performance-driven culture

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology / Human Resources is preferred.

2. 1-3 years experience in Human Resources.

3. Completed (or currently pursuing) CHRP or CHRL designations will be an asset.

4. Experience in the manufacturing industry will be considered an asset.

5.



Demonstrated ability to meet strategic objectives for HR and the organization.

6. Demonstrated ability to manage HR core processes such as talent acquisition, management, HR business partnering and employee relations.

7. Proven project management skills required.

8. Able to make sound business decisions and evidence-based recommendations to senior management.

9. Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.

10. Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.

11. A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.

12. Sound leadership and teambuilding skills

13. Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and employees.

14. Demonstrated ability to have a positive impact on business results.

15. Able to interpret and implement personnel-related legislation.

16. Demonstrated basic knowledge of labour laws.

17. Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects.

18. High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range is $60,000 to $70,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package is available with coverage including health, dental, life insurance, long-term disability and a group retirement savings plan with RRSP match.
