We're a small healthcare SaaS product looking for one senior engineer to execute a fully specified engineering programme, delivered in six independent phases. We'd like to start with the first phase as a fixed-scope milestone and continue if it works for both of us.

The unusual part: The plan is already written. Every task comes with its file paths, its exit criterion and its rollback procedure, plus copy-and-paste ready material — SQL migrations with matching rollback files, Node scripts, config blocks, TypeScript modules and React components, and a prepared AI-agent prompt (Cursor / Claude Code) for each task. You are implementing and verifying a specified plan, not designing one from scratch.

The work, in six phases

1. Consolidating several domains onto one canonical host, plus a brand unification pass — this is the first milestone

2. Multi-region data architecture — two regional database cells with a small routing directory in front

3. Compliance — tamper-evident audit hash chain, field-level encryption, database-backed permission catalogue

4. Billing — dual currency, automatic tax, webhook de-duplication and region routing

5. CI/CD guardrails — schema drift detection, migration round-trip checks, split test suites

6. Capacity — per-region limits and load testing

Stack:

Next.js 16 (App Router, cacheComponents), TypeScript, React, Tailwind + shadcn/ui, Supabase (PostgreSQL 17, RLS, Auth, Storage), Vercel, Stripe (raw REST, no SDK), Resend, Sentry, Upstash Redis, Playwright, Vitest, pgTAP, GitHub Actions.

You should have:

Next.js App Router in production — server components, caching, middleware. Not just React.

Real PostgreSQL: row-level security, triggers, functions. Not ORM-only.

Experience with expand/contract migrations and feature-flagged rollouts

Shipped Stripe billing, including webhook handling and idempotency

A habit of writing Playwright and Vitest tests as part of the work,

This platform holds patient health information. An NDA precedes repository access, and production data never goes onto a personal machine.

One branch, one task, one pull request — with the test output and rollback steps in the description.

Tell us when the plan is wrong. It's been reviewed but it isn't infallible, and we'd much rather you stop and flag something than work around it quietly.

We haven't attached durations to any of this. You know your own speed and availability better than we do, so tell us what you think is realistic rather than agreeing to a schedule we invented.

Engagement: Phase 1 first — fifteen self-contained tasks, ending with the consolidation live in production. Then Phases 2–6 on the same terms. A five-page technical brief goes to shortlisted candidates.
