Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Monitor food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service, supporting smooth kitchen flow during busy periods
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, ovens,
and other appliances
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies or potential shortages
Experience
- Prior food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated newcomers eager to learn
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly processes
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and adaptability are essential
- Basic understanding of serving etiquette and customer service principles in the food industry
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work efficiently under pressure
