Fraser Valley Roofing Ltd is looking for a Full-time Architectural Sheet Metal Worker to pay a crucial role in the roofing industry. This position is located in our shop in Chilliwack, BC & there is on-site work.

The ideal candidate has the knowledge & skills to prepare, repair, and fabricate components for metal roofs, metal walls, membranes and waterproofing, curbs, flashings, downspouts, soffits, and skylights.

The role consists of:

- Laying out, measuring, and marking sheet metal according to drawings or templates.
- Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
- Installing sheet metal products and adhering to specifications and building codes
- Inventory management and control
- Safe work practices, as per WorkSafeBC and our Occupational Health & Safety program
- Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity

Job requirements & skills:

- 4 years experience with fabrication and installation of roofing system flashings
- 4 years operating sheet metal machinery
- Ability to interpret shop drawings in relation to roofing components (pitch, flashings, diverters, standing seam pan)




- 3 years experience with roofing systems (materials, flashings, fasteners)
- Read, write, and speak English
- Basic trade math skills (imperial, metric, fractions, decimals, conversions, and percentages)
- Basic First Aid, WHMIS, and Fall Protection course
- Competent with hand tools (layout, cutting, forming, clamping, hammers, measuring, fastening, care and maintenance, drilling)
