Position Summary:

GMS Mine Repair & Maintenance is seeking experienced Dozer Operators to join our team at an open-pit coal mining operation in Tumbler Ridge, BC. The successful candidates will have demonstrated experience operating large tracked dozers in a mining environment and will be responsible for safely and efficiently supporting mining and earthmoving operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently operate large tracked dozers in an open-pit mining environment.
- Manage dumps, coal stockpiles, and waste material.
- Push and move coal and overburden as required.
- Maintain dump profiles, roads, ramps, and work areas.
- Perform earthmoving, leveling, grading, and site preparation activities.
- Conduct thorough pre-operational inspections and identify equipment deficiencies.
- Operate equipment in accordance with site procedures, safety standards, and production requirements.
- Maintain awareness of changing ground conditions, traffic, equipment, and other site hazards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other equipment operators.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and report safety or operational concerns promptly.
- Complete required documentation, inspections, and equipment reports.

Qualifications:

- 2+ years’ experience operating equipment such as: Caterpillar D10T, Caterpillar D10T2,



Caterpillar D11T, Komatsu D475, or equivalent large mining dozer.
- Strong understanding of open-pit mining safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow site procedures.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe and productive equipment operation.
- Valid driver's license and required site qualifications/certifications as applicable.

Compensation: $45 - $55 per hour with accommodations and travel pay provided where applicable.

Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off with 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
