Job Description: Our client is an industry-leading manufacturer supporting the residential and commercial construction markets. They are currently seeking a Plant Manager to oversee a key production facility and lead a team committed to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. Job Location: Strathroy, Ontario
Job Type: Full time, direct-hire opportunity.
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 a year to start + paid time off + extended health/dental/vision benefits activated after 1 month of service + RRSP match & more!
Shift Structure: Day shift – Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with occasional extended hours required to support operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide overall leadership and accountability for plant operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
· Foster a culture focused on safety, quality, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
· Lead and develop manufacturing teams through coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
· Develop and execute operational strategies to achieve production, performance, and customer service targets.
· Monitor key performance indicators and leverage operational data to improve uptime, throughput, and reliability.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
· Coordinate manufacturing activities with internal departments and external suppliers to optimize production resources.
· Support and contribute to strategic plant-wide initiatives and long-term operational planning.
Requirements/Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience within a production manufacturing environment.
· Strong people leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate, develop, and manage teams.
· Experience leading within a unionized manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
· Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Knowledge of production planning, inventory management, quality systems, and workplace safety regulations.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
