Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Building Access Mats Specialist to oversee the installation, maintenance, and management of access mats used in construction and industrial sites. In this role, you will ensure safe, efficient access over challenging terrains by coordinating the placement and removal of heavy-duty mats that protect surfaces and facilitate equipment movement. Your expertise will help streamline project workflows, enhance safety protocols, and support construction teams in achieving their goals with confidence. Responsibilities

- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine mat placement and specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to install, adjust, or remove access mats on various terrains.
- Collaborate with construction teams to assess site conditions and recommend appropriate mat solutions for optimal access.
- Ensure proper handling of materials such as concrete forming components, flooring materials, or masonry elements related to access mat installation.
- Maintain accurate records of mat deployment, inspections, and maintenance activities for project documentation.
- Assist with site preparation tasks including leveling surfaces, securing mats in place, and ensuring stability during use.




- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with construction equipment and during material handling to prevent accidents or injuries.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in construction or related fields with a strong understanding of site safety procedures.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation relevant to construction tasks.
- Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, drywall installation, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, welding, restoration or similar trades is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and schematics interpretation is a plus.
- Experience working with heavy machinery such as forklifts or cranes is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing site conditions.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
