PSW – Part Time

Seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) in the North West Scarborough area to assist with personal needs for one male ALS patient in their home.

Rate: $25/h. 15-22h/week

Days Needed: Monday, Friday, Saturday, maybe Sunday

Shift: Morning-Afternoon

* Current PSW Certificate or similar certification, CPR & First Aid required

* Police Vulnerable Check required

* Must be eligible to work in Canada with SIN

* Available to work during the weekends with an emphasis on morning/afternoon schedule.

* Previous experience with ALS/MS/Paraplegic/Quadriplegic patients preferred.

Duties:

* Lifting, positioning and transferring. Knowledge of Hoyer Lift

* Bowel/Bladder, Bathing, Grooming and Dressing assistance

* Light meal prep and feeding assistance needed

* Light Tidying/Household chores

* Must be reliable, punctual and motivated

* Ability to work independently. Driver with their own vehicle preferred

* Must be able to lift 40 pounds and be willing to use a Hoyer lift required for patient transfers.
