We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated Skilled Labourer to join our team. This is a full time, in office role that involves working on various residential and commercial construction and finishing projects across Alberta, including locations such as Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, and other out-of-town sites. Travel and overnight stays are required.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in construction and finishing work, specifically Painting & Prep and demonstrates strong work ethic, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient job site.

Position Overview

As a Skilled Labourer, you will work closely with the Site Foreman, Owner and other trades to support the successful and timely completion of projects. This role includes physical-intensive labor, material handling, heavy lifting, site preparation, operating hand and power tools, and assisting with a variety of construction and finishing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Arrive on-site on time and ready to work each day.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, organizing, and removing hazards.
- Load, unload, and transport materials efficiently to required work areas.
- Assist with interior and exterior renovation tasks including demolition, drywall install, priming, painting, patching, sanding, vinyl flooring install, basic carpentry, and finishing work.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to support project completion.
- Assist with installation or removal of cabinets, trims, baseboards, and flooring materials as needed.
- Support the erection of ladders, scaffolding,



and other site equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the project.
- Communicate effectively with the Site Foreman regarding tasks, materials, progress, and any issues encountered.
- Direct inquiries from subcontractors or site personnel to the Site Foreman or Project Manager when necessary.

Safety & Compliance

- Follow all construction safety protocols and maintain safe work habits at all times.
- Identify, report, and help resolve any potential hazards on-site.
- Wear and enforce proper use of required PPE.
- Must have or be willing to obtain industry-required safety certifications, including:
- WHMIS
- First Aid
- Working at Heights (if required for specific sites)
- Manlift Certification is considered an asset

Who You Are

- 1–2+ years of hands-on experience in residential and/or commercial construction.
- Experience in finishing work such as: painting, drywall repair/installation, flooring (vinyl), trim installation, and cabinet installation/removal.
- Knowledgeable in basic carpentry, demolition, and general handyman tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods,



and performing demanding labour.
- A self-starter who takes responsibility, works efficiently, and maintains a positive attitude.
- A forward-thinking individual who values craftsmanship, resilience, and high-quality work.
- Comfortable traveling daily or staying overnight for out-of-town projects.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle required.
- Asset: Experience working on high-end, historical, or luxury properties.
