Happy Steps Childcare Ltd. is looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our childcare program in Langley, BC.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young children and can help provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment through play-based learning, creative activities, outdoor play, and daily routines.

Pay: $19.00 per hour base wage + $6.00 per hour B.C. ECE Wage Enhancement for eligible ECEs, for a total of $25.00 per hour.

Hours: Part-time, minimum 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

- Plan and participate in age-appropriate, play-based activities.
- Provide a safe, caring, positive, and inclusive environment.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, and transitions.
- Communicate positively and professionally with children, families, and coworkers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe childcare environment.
- Follow B.C. childcare licensing requirements, health policies,



and safety procedures.

Requirements

- Valid B.C. Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate.
- Experience working with young children is preferred.
- Caring, patient, dependable, and responsible.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to engage children in creative and developmentally appropriate activities.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Criminal record check as required for licensed childcare.
