We are looking for a Service Technician to join our team in the industrial inkjet printing industry.
This is a hands-on technical position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, working with computers, and solving technical problems.
Previous industrial inkjet printer experience is a bonus but not required. We are looking for someone with strong technical aptitude who is willing to learn. Training will be provided.
Approximately 70% of the position will be based in-house, with the remainder involving customer installations, demonstrations, training, and field service throughout Canada.
Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial inkjet printers
- Install and commission new printing systems at customer locations
- Demonstrate equipment to customers
- Train customers on printer operation and maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software-related problems
- Prepare and test equipment in-house prior to installation
- Provide technical support to customers by phone and remotely
- Travel throughout Canada for installations, training, demonstrations, and service calls
- Maintain service records and documentation
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with computers and technical software
- Ability to learn new technology and equipment quickly
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel throughout Canada
- Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
Experience That Would Be an Asset

Compensation & Benefits
- $50,000 to $60,000 per year

- Repair mechanical components, replace worn parts, and perform adjustments using hand tools and mechanical knowledge
- Diagnose and resolve electrical problems related to low voltage systems and computer hardware connections
- Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and modifications
- Provide technical support to customers remotely or on-site, guiding them through troubleshooting steps and best practices
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience working with hand tools for repairs and adjustments
- Proficiency in computer networking to troubleshoot connectivity issues between printers and networks
- Knowledge of computer hardware components relevant to industrial printing systems
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately
- Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems common in industrial equipment
- Maintenance experience with industrial machinery or similar equipment is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex issues
