Falco Electrical Systems Ltd. is a growing Calgary-based electrical contractor specializing in commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, and large-scale electrical projects throughout Calgary and Southern Alberta.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) to join our team. The successful candidate will play an key role in maintaining and strengthening Falco’s safety culture while supporting our field teams, supervisors, and project management staff.

Responsibilities

Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the organization

Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits

Ensure compliance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation and company safety policies

Identify hazards and recommend appropriate corrective actions

Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of site-specific safety plans

Conduct and document toolbox meetings, orientations, inspections, and incident investigations

Maintain safety documentation, records, and reports

Assist supervisors and project managers with safety-related requirements

Monitor PPE requirements and protected work practices

Participate in incident and near-miss investigations and help implement corrective measures

Provide safety guidance and support to field employees

Assist with COR/Alberta safety program requirements and continuous improvement initiatives

Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, project managers, and clients

Stay current with changes to Alberta OHS legislation, regulations, and industry best practices

Qualifications

NCSO designation required





Previous safety experience in the electrical or construction industry

Strong knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation

Experience conducting site inspections, audits, orientations, and incident investigations

Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

Ability to work independently while also being an effective member of a team

Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

COR experience is considered an asset

Electrical construction experience is considered an asset
