Job Summary
CMF Doors Inc. is looking for a proactive, tech-savvy Project Manager Assistant to join our team in St. Catharines. CMF Doors is a family-owned, close-knit team of 10–12 people specializing in commercial steel and automatic doors.
In this role, you will serve as the crucial on-site liaison for a senior Project Manager who will be working remotely, while also taking ownership of managing smaller jobs independently. This is an ideal fit for someone with a blended background in construction and/or door hardware who is proficient at Excel, stays organized, and takes pride in keeping projects moving smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Coordination: Act as the primary local point of contact, eyes, and hands for a remote Project Manager, assisting with site tracking and daily operational needs.
- Small Job Management: Independently coordinate, track, and manage smaller installation and service jobs from setup to completion.
- Data & Template Management: Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage job templates, input data, track budgets, and maintain project documentation.
- Communication: Coordinate seamlessly between remote management, site technicians, suppliers, and clients to keep project timelines intact.
- Documentation Review: Read and cross-reference blueprints, job specs, and project requirements to ensure accurate site preparation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Tech & Construction Background: Solid understanding of construction workflows paired with strong computer skills.
- Excel Proficiency: Advanced skill with Microsoft Excel is required, as all company project templates are Excel-based.
- Strong Typing Skills: Fast, accurate typing and comfortable navigating administrative software.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints is strongly preferred.
- Problem-Solving & Initiative: Self-starter with strong critical thinking skills who can anticipate project needs before they arise.

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
