Experienced Baker and Cake Decorator

Jeffrey’s Café is seeking an experienced and dependable Baker and Cake Decorator to join our team. The successful applicant will have a passion for creating high-quality baked goods and beautifully decorated cakes and cookies while working efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen.

Responsibilities

- Prepare a wide variety of baked goods, including cakes, muffins, cookies, breads and cheesecakes
- Decorate cakes and cookies for the restaurant and catering events
- Prepare icings, fillings, piping details and decorative finishes
- Follow established recipes and Jeffrey’s quality standards
- Measure, mix, prepare and bake products consistently
- Complete baking and decorating orders accurately and on time
- Maintain a clean, organized and food-safe workspace
- Monitor ingredients and communicate inventory needs
- Manage multiple products, catering orders and baking schedules efficiently
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and café teams

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of three years of commercial baking experience is required
- A minimum of three years of professional cake-decorating experience is also required
- Experience with cookie decorating is required
- Strong skills in cake preparation, icing, piping, decorating and finishing




- Experience producing a wide variety of baked goods in a professional kitchen
- Strong understanding of baking methods, ingredients and commercial equipment
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, punctual and committed to consistent quality
- Knowledge of food-safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including standing for extended periods and lifting ingredients and equipment

Schedule

Applicants must be available for early-morning shifts beginning at 6:00 a.m.
