Seeking a part-time Dog Kennel Attendant for a small Dog Hotel in Milton, On.

Must be able to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Right now, we are hiring for the shifts:

Mondays 3:00pm-7pm including holidays

Tuesdays 3:00pm - 8:00pm including holidays

Fridays 11:00am-7:00pm including holidays

Saturdays 11:00am-7:00pm including holidays

Start date is asap.

Must be able to get to and from the work place on your own.

Requirements for the job are:

Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills, be hard-working and work cohesively in a team environment or on their own. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, trustworthy, and RELIABLE.

Must be comfortable with all dog breeds, sizes, temperaments.

Ability to work several hours a day and be on one’s feet for several hours, being able to manage physical requirements of a position for extended periods of time, including walking for several hours daily.

Heavy lifting required up to 50 lbs. and being able to climb a step ladder safely as needed.

Animal Care:

- Providing care to dogs including feeding (Providing animals with appropriate food and clean water), grooming, providing medication.

- Regular and ongoing cleaning of kennels, cleaning animal waste, spilled food, hair, and other debris from the kennels, washing, and proper sanitizing of dog dishes/bowls.

-Cleaning animal waste from outside dog runs. Power washing of the outside dog runs as needed.





- Evaluate all dogs for an overall look while checking in and taking note of any special concerns and report findings to Management. Provide relevant updates or concerns on a regular basis to Management. Relay appropriate information to/from clients to Management.

-taking each dog individually for a walk

-doing play time/exercise time with each dog individually

Facility Management/Cleaning:

- Cleaning and maintaining dog suites, hallway, office room, play area, kitchenette

- Vacuuming and cleaning all carpeting

- Clean, fold, and stack laundry throughout the day. Operate a washer and a dryer.

-Taking out the trash and recycling.

- Inventory maintenance: including unpacking products, date checking, and shelving.

-general repairs/fixing broken fences, gates and doors.

-yard maintenance: mowing lawns, maintaining landscaping.

-regularly checking the integrity of the kennels, fences for safety.

-keeping dog runs, play equipment and other kennel area in valuable condition.

Client interractions:

- Check-in / Discharge clients, take basic vaccination history, dietary and medicine instructions.

- Maintain proper documentation, able to use a window-based computer system, email, web search, and other skills as needed.

-Use POS machine
