We’re currently searching for a Part time Host to join the 1 Kitchen team. The Kitchen Host is responsible for warmly welcoming and seating guests, maintaining an organized and inviting dining environment, and supporting a smooth and memorable guest experience while upholding 1 Kitchen’s service, safety, and hospitality standards.

General Duties

- Maintain thorough knowledge of daily events, restaurant operations, hotel history, and guest information.
- Warmly greet and welcome guests, manage wait times, reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, and table assignments.
- Escort guests to tables, provide menus, and maintain conversational knowledge of menus and offerings.
- Take and confirm reservations, monitor bookings, and communicate reservation details.
- Ensure tables, menus, and the lobby/waiting area are clean, organized, and guest ready.
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and discretion.
- Coordinate with servers and leadership to support efficient table turnover and smooth restaurant operations.
- Assist with special requests, seating preferences,



and special occasions to enhance the guest experience.
- Troubleshoot guest concerns and operational issues, escalating when necessary.

About you...

- 1-2 of previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or guest-facing hospitality role.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of OpenTable, SevenRooms, or similar reservation systems is an asset.
- Must have a valid Ontario Smart Serve certification.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be available to work weekends and evenings.
