Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Carpenter /Sheet Metal Worker to join our metal roofing & siding installation team. This role involves supporting various aspects of building and renovation projects, requiring physical endurance, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, adaptable, and capable of performing a range of manual tasks in a dynamic environment.

We specialize in standing seam metal roofing and different types of hidden fastner metal product.

Duties

- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials
- Operate hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and other basic equipment to support workplace activities
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials and equipment around the job site
- Work with metal and various sheet metal tools
- Support handyman tasks such as minor repairs, maintenance, and general site organization
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Collaborate and work with team members

Skills

- Proficiency with hand tools and basic construction equipment
- Comfortable working at heights




- Experience in carpentry, metal work, or roofing work is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Physical stamina to work long hours in various weather conditions
- Valuable communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential

While we appreciate all that apply, we do require candidates to have a valid Nova Scotia drivers license, however, transportation to and from jobsite by company vehicle is provided. Apprenticeships and Co-ops are available to those seeking development in the carpentry trade, on site training will also be provided. Specialty tools, specialty safety equipment, and on-site training & education, will be provided to the selected candidates as well.

Pay: $21.00-$38.00 per hour
