Bee Haven Childcare Centres are looking to strengthen their team by hiring quality and committed team members to provide excellent creative programming in our before and after school care programs working with children ages 5 to 11 years old. There are 6 different locations for the before & after school care programs, all in North Vancouver. We are looking for regular program staff, and for one to one support staff (ideal for SEA's in the school district who can start at 2:30pm)

Successful applicants could be enrolled in an ECE or post secondary education program, possess a current ECE/assistant license, or have at least 20 hours of education in Child Psychology, Education, Nutrition and/or Phys ED, Child and youth care certificate or have a 20 hour responsible adult certificate (this online course can be taken after being hired, so long as it is completed within 3 months)

All applicants must have/be willing to get current First Aid/CPR.

Criminal Record check is mandatory.

This is a regular part-time position for which will start as soon as possible

The hours are flexible, and can be 7:15-9:15am and or 2:00/2:30-6:00 pm, we can be flexible with students schedules, as in they can leave as early as 5:00 if they have classes,



and we ask for a minimum of 3 days availability, but preference will be given to those candidates with 5 days afternoon availability.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and engage children in various activities before and after school.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment by adhering to CPR and First Aid protocols.
- Assist with homework and provide tutoring support as needed.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and behavior.
- Maintain a clean and organized space for children’s activities.

Job Type: Part time

Pay: $20.65 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
