- Set up containment areas and negative air systems
- Remove and properly bag asbestos-containing materials
- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection at all times
- Follow all safety procedures and worksite regulations
- Assist with site cleanup and decontamination
- Operate and maintain abatement tools and equipment
- Participate in daily safety meetings and training sessions
Qualifications:
- Valid Asbestos Abatement Worker certification
- Knowledge of safe asbestos removal procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to work in PPE for extended periods
- Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights if required
- Valid driver’s license is an asset
Working Conditions:
- Work in various indoor and outdoor environments
- Full PPE and respiratory protection required
- Shift work, overtime, and weekend work may be required
