WalkDogs.ca is a professional, fully insured dog walking company serving Toronto's west end. We're not a gig app. We run established routes for regular clients, our walkers are Pet First Aid & CPR certified, and every walk is covered by commercial insurance.

The Work

We contract walkers on a per-walk basis. Available services include:

- Pack walks (maximum 5 dogs)
- Private and semi-private walks
- 15-minute puppy and senior visits

Most walks fall in the midday window, roughly 11am to 3pm. You take the routes that work for your schedule. Walkers who can commit to the same routes consistently earn the most, because clients book recurring service and route density means less travel between stops.

What the Role Involves

- Completing booked walks and visits within the agreed service window
- Handling keys and building access securely
- Logging each visit in Time To Pet with photos and notes. Clients read these, and they're a big part of why they stay
- Flagging health, behaviour, or home-access issues promptly

What We're Looking For





- Real dog-handling ability — reading body language, managing a small pack on busy sidewalks
- Reliability. Clients book recurring routes and expect the same walker
- Comfortable on foot in all four seasons
- Clear written communication
- Own smartphone and transportation
- Clean background check and ability to be covered under our commercial policy
- Pet First Aid & CPR certification preferred; we'll help you get certified if you don't have it

Skilled walking experience is preferred but not required. Strong personal dog handling experience plus genuine reliability counts.

Engagement Terms

This is an independent contractor position. You choose which routes to accept, invoice us for walks completed, and are responsible for your own taxes and any applicable HST.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10.0 per week
