We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Field Manager to lead and oversee our field installation operations. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

They will lead field crews, coordinate schedules, manage vehicles and equipment, monitor project performance, and ensure our clients receive exceptional service from the moment our team arrives on site through project completion.

We are looking for someone who is organized, confident leading people, comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment, and able to keep multiple projects and crews moving at the same time.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Operations Management

- Plan and manage daily and weekly installation schedules.
- Coordinate field crews, vehicles, equipment, materials, rentals, and other resources.
- Review work orders before projects are scheduled to ensure scope, site information, photos, client contacts, materials, permits, and required equipment are ready.
- Identify potential project delays or site challenges before crews arrive.
- Monitor active projects throughout the day and take corrective action when work is falling behind schedule.
- Ensure projects are completed within estimated labour hours whenever possible.
- Track project progress and provide timely completion updates to Project Managers.

Team Leadership

- Lead, coach, and support field installation employees.
- Conduct daily team huddles covering schedules, priorities, safety, project expectations, and potential roadblocks.
- Coach employees on improving billable hours and completing projects within estimated timelines.




- Identify training and development opportunities and participate in employee performance reviews.
- Ensure clients receive advance communication regarding scheduled site visits.
- Ensure field employees represent the company professionally while working at client locations.
- Maintain a solution-oriented approach when challenges occur rather than assigning blame.
- Address client concerns professionally and escalate issues to Project Managers when required.

Safety & Compliance

- Maintain a strong safety culture across all field operations.
- Conduct regular on-site safety spot checks.
- Ensure employees consistently follow PPE, fall protection, equipment, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Ensure employee certifications and driver's licences remain current.
- Coordinate required training and certification renewals with HR.
- Ensure applicable permits, provincial requirements, WCB requirements, IFTA requirements, and oversized-load requirements are addressed before work begins.
- Oversee company vehicles and field equipment.
- Maintain preventative maintenance and inspection schedules.
- Ensure vehicle registrations, insurance, maintenance records, inspections, and related documentation remain organized and current.
- Monitor tools and equipment to reduce loss, damage,



and unnecessary replacement costs.
- Coordinate equipment rentals and higher-cost purchases with the appropriate departments.

Planning & Resource Management

- Work closely with all departments to keep projects moving.
- Ensure materials, tools, rentals, permits, and equipment are planned in advance.
- Identify missing information or resources before they create installation delays.
- Ensure project-related purchases and rentals are approved and remain within budget.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, scheduling, and workflow.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous experience managing installation, construction, field service, or similar field-based operations.
- Strong experience supervising and developing field employees.
- Excellent scheduling, organization, and project coordination skills.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and field safety requirements.
- Experience managing company vehicles, equipment, tools, and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand work orders, drawings, measurements, and project specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience managing labour hours, productivity, budgets, and project timelines.
- Excellent communication and client-service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously. (12-15 people)
- Strong computer skills and comfort using digital project-management and documentation systems.
- Valid driver's licence.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
