We are looking for an experienced HVAC / Mechanical Technician to join our construction team on a full time basis.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and mechanical systems. Experience with commercial construction projects, boilers, rooftop units, ventilation systems, and hydronic heating systems is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Install and service furnaces, rooftop units, air handling units, make-up air units, exhaust fans, boilers, pumps, and related equipment.
- Install ductwork, ventilation systems, diffusers, dampers, and related components.
- Work with hydronic heating and mechanical piping systems.
- Complete HVAC rough-ins and final equipment connections.
- Perform equipment start-up, testing, troubleshooting, and basic commissioning.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules.
- Identify mechanical deficiencies and recommend appropriate repairs or solutions.
- Coordinate work with project managers, electricians, plumbers, and other trades.
- Assist with material take-offs and ordering required equipment and materials.
- Ensure all installations are completed according to applicable codes, project specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.




- Travel to different project sites within Winnipeg and surrounding areas as required.

Qualifications

- Previous HVAC or mechanical experience is required.
- Strong understanding of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with commercial HVAC and mechanical systems preferred.
- Experience with boilers, hydronic systems, rooftop units, pumps, and ventilation equipment is an asset.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and construction plans.
- Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valuable communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation preferred.
- HVAC, refrigeration, gas-fitting, sheet metal, or related trade certification is considered an asset.
