Shift: Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (overtime and weekends as needed). Must travel between Manitouwadge and Dorion, and occasionally Geraldton for remote service calls. Company vehicles provided.
Wage: $46.00 - $48.00 per hour. $5,000 hiring bonus ($2,500 after 6 months, $2,500 after 1 year). Relocation assistance available for non‑local candidates.
Key Responsibilities
The Mechanic is responsible for servicing and repairing company buses safely, efficiently, and effectively.
- Ongoing maintenance and repair of buses
- Brake and safety inspections
- Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs
- Respond to breakdowns
- Spring and winter maintenance
Requirements
- Licensed Mechanic – 310T
- Safety Inspection License
- Experience working with Fleet Management Systems (considered an asset)
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Own hand tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Computer and diagnostic equipment skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong time management skills and well‑developed communication skills (both written and verbal)
