Role overview

RBC's Chief Audit Executive group provides independent assurance and advisory services across the enterprise.

This four-month winter co-op offers a consulting-style Business Analyst experience within Internal Audit.

The role supports strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and Delivery Excellence initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Support Internal Audit leadership through strategy, process improvement, analytics, and transformation projects.
- Analyze ambiguous problem statements and develop clear insights and recommendations.
- Research business units, risk areas, and processes to identify themes and opportunities.
- Design and own process improvements enabled by technology and artificial intelligence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to solve challenges within the CAE Group.
- Build executive presentations, develop strategy, and communicate project value.

Must-have Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in business, accounting, finance, analytics, strategy, or a related field.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, synthesis ability, and initiative are required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development, are required.




- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint or similar tools is required.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting is required.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and develop solutions is required.

Nice-to-have Qualifications

- Interest in internal audit, evolving technology, consulting, or enterprise strategy is nice to have.
- Previous co-op or project-based experience is nice to have.
- Exposure to analytics, strategy, operations, or business transformation initiatives is nice to have.
- Stakeholder management and experience presenting insights to non-technical or senior audiences are nice to have.

Student eligibility
- Candidates must return to school after the work term or require the full work term as a mandatory graduation component.
- The position is a four-month student co-op role.
