District invites applications from individuals for the temporary position of Vision Support Teacher. Master's degree in Education of the visually impaired Valid BC Teaching certificate Ability to travel between sites Ability to collaborate effectively with school teams,



families and community agencies Knowledge of student eligibility for Ministry of Education Vision and Deafblind categories Ability to provide universal tier one supports for students with vision challenges in classrooms Ability to consult with district and school-based staff, parents, and community agencies to support students with vision-based needs Knowledge of current assistive technologies to support students with vision needs A willingness to provide a variety of in-service opportunities to school and district staff Evidence of Master's degree in Education of the visually impaired Teaching Certificate Practicum reports or teacher evaluations if applicable Personal references, recommendations and evaluations collected or generated by Board employees and Committee members as part of the Board's hiring processes (other than references whose authorship and content is already known to the job applicant) shall be treated as having been supplied in confidence to the Board for the purposes of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. #
