MAIN DUTIES:
The Account Director - Group Sales is responsible for all activities related to the sales function and revenue generation from corporations with a concentration on traditional vertical market segments which can include insurance, finance, legal, consumer products, automotive, retail, consulting, etc. This position will oversee all group sales for these industries. Focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives and personal booking goals.
This position will be part of the Hotel’s Sales & Marketing team, and requires on-site presence 5 days a week, in an office located in our Hotel.

GENERAL DUTIES
- Develop and execute a comprehensive group sales strategy aligned with the hotel’s revenue goals and market positioning
- Prospect, negotiate, and secure group business across corporate, association, incentive, SMERF, and social segments
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, third-party planners, and industry partners
- Represent the property at sales calls, site inspections, trade shows, client events, and industry functions
- Collaborate with other departments of the hotel to ensure seamless transition from sales to event execution
- Review and approve group contracts, concessions, and pricing strategies to ensure profitability and risk mitigation
- Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and booking pace to inform strategic decision-making
- Develop and manage group sales forecasts, budgets, and action plans
- Drive production through targeted sales initiatives, account development, and strategic partnerships
- Ensure accurate and timely use of CRM and sales systems for reporting, forecasting, and account management
- Monitor guest satisfaction and post-event feedback, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Support cross-functional collaboration to ensure exceptional service delivery for all group clients
- Participate in annual budget planning and long-term business planning initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall hotel sales and business objectives
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully,
an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in a field of study related to this profession.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in hotel sales experience within the luxury market;
- History of strong leadership and selling skills; and proven achievements in selling, optimizing guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
- Must possess strong presentation skills, exceptional follow-up capabilities and a strong business development acumen.
- Requires strong time management skills. Experience successfully leading in a rapid-paced environment and prioritizing demands.
- Well versed in Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management financial aspects. Technically savvy and familiar with Sales & Marketing operating/budgeting systems and spreadsheets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Prior experience with Delphi and HMS or similar Property Management System is a plus.
- Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
