DOING RIGHT BY PEOPLE – IT’S WHAT WE DO Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Executive plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through the identification and acquisition of new business opportunities. Using a consultative sales approach, you will conduct in-depth needs analyses, deliver tailored product demonstrations, and present customized solutions aligned with each prospect’s unique challenges.
This role requires exceptional communication and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the payroll and workforce management industry, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

– IT’S WHAT YOU’LL DO+ Prospect and identify new business opportunities — Build and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects within the workforce management space through proactive outreach, networking, and business development activities.+ Conduct needs assessments and deliver tailored demos — Lead in-depth discovery conversations with prospects, understand their unique challenges, and present customized Payworks solutions through compelling product demonstrations and proposals.+ Build and nurture client relationships — Maintain strong, ongoing connections with clients through regular communication and follow-up, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and opportunities to expand the Payworks relationship.+ Negotiate and close — Lead pricing, terms, and contract negotiations with prospective clients, working to secure new business while maintaining alignment with Payworks standards and client needs.+ Collaborate cross-functionally — Partner with sales support, implementation, and customer service teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to client onboarding, and work with internal stakeholders to stay current on product updates and competitive landscape.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED+ 3 to 5+ years of experience in an outside B2B sales role ideally in payroll, HRMS, or workforce management solutions. + Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs, including revenue goals, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction metrics.+ Proven ability to close new business and identify additional product opportunities through ongoing outreach and business development.+ Strong needs analysis and active listening skills — you identify the right solution for each prospect and present it clearly and persuasively.
+ Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and opportunities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism. + Proficiency with CRM systems to manage client data, track sales activities, and maintain accurate forecasts and reporting.+ Reliable transportation required to attend client meetings, industry events, and other work-related engagements as needed.+ Commitment to ethical sales practices — transparency, honesty, and trustworthiness in every client interaction.+ Experience with the Payworks application is considered an asset.+ Eager to grow your career in B2B SaaS sales and develop a deep understanding of Payworks’ solutions, clients, and competitive landscape.
