Reporting to the Manager, Regional Accounting, the Regional Accountant will provide accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and analytical support to a regional real estate portfolio across both development and rental operations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and analysis, including variance analysis and general ledger reconciliations Support project budgets, proformas, and financial reporting for development and rental properties Record and review general ledger activity, including journal entries, accounts payable, cash receipts, land sales, revenue recognition, cost of sales, overhead allocations, and capitalization Prepare job cost, capital expenditure, commitment, sales, acquisition, and other financial reports Support financial analysis and due diligence related to potential acquisitions and dispositions Assist with annual budgeting and preparation of the five-year Corporate Plan Prepare Joint Venture reporting, budgeting, invoicing, analysis, and monthly financial statements, where applicable Support interim and year-end audit requests Monitor receivables, collections,



and cash receipt processing Partner closely with the Regional Real Estate and Corporate Finance teams 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience ~ Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, finance, or accounting ~ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills ~ Solid financial reporting, general ledger, reconciliation, and variance analysis experience ~ Real estate or land development accounting experience ~ CPA designation is nice to have ~ Joint Venture accounting and reporting experience ~ Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
