FCC Construcción is currently the fourth-largest construction company in Spain in terms of contract volume and ranks among the top 30 in the world, according to the international magazine ENR (Engineering News-Record). In 1998, it was awarded the contract for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the Fredericton-Moncton motorway. In 2011, it was awarded the contract to the extension of a section of the Toronto subway expansion, the city's first modern subway infrastructure project.
This project was completed in 2019. In Canada, FCC is proud to be actively involved in multiple projects across Ontario and British Columbia aimed at improving public transportation and infrastructure. The Accountant role is required to support financial reporting and general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance with IFRS, and timely financial close.
This position is an individual contributor role, with no direct reports and no cross-departmental interaction, focused on delivering high-quality accounting outputs within the Finance & Administration team.
Finance Manager
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reports. Calculate and record Right-of-Use (ROU) assets, lease liabilities, interest expense,
and amortization.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls, and company accounting policies. Assist with internal and external audit requests, including preparation of supporting documentation. Support tax filings and other regulatory reporting requirements as required.
Bachelor's degree in accounting (mandatory). ~Strong working knowledge of IFRS, with specific expertise in IFRS 16 lease accounting. Hands-on experience with inventory management. Proficiency using SAP.
Advanced Microsoft
Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH, and data modeling.
Advanced
