The A220 commercial aircraft program is seeking a Strategic Buyer of Standard Parts to join our materials and parts purchasing team based in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada. The role consolidates cross‑functional team activities, manages governance, deploys the team dashboard, and ensures smooth execution of activities.

Responsibilities / Challenges
- Consolidate all cross‑functional activities of the team (projects, planning, costs, risks & opportunities) per commodity.
- Set up and manage governance and the calendar of the team’s activities (roadmap review, internal governance, Interaction SteerCo).
- Support the deployment of the team dashboard and drive the pace of activities.
- Occasionally implement governance for new projects (meeting structure, project tracking system, KPIs, action tracking).
- Participate in the development of the roadmap and the annual plan for purchasing strategies.
- Contribute to sourcing activities, manage tenders, and negotiate contracts to obtain the best purchasing conditions in accordance with company requirements.
- Monitor contract implementation during innovation, development, production and support phases,
ensuring full application of terms and conditions and compliance with performance expectations.
- Manage day‑to‑day supplier relationships and ongoing projects to maximize customer value while minimizing TCO and risk.
- Lead one or more Sub‑MFT and participate in MFT/MDT teams throughout tendering, negotiation and contract execution phases.
- Contribute to the implementation of digital solutions.
- Comply with Airbus procedural documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the aeronautical field.
- Effective contractual knowledge and international negotiation experience, with proven commercial and contractual expertise and legal knowledge.
- Experience in supplier relationship management and procurement or equivalent external stakeholder management.
- Advanced English and working knowledge of French required.
- Solid relational skills, with good stakeholder management, listening, negotiation and conflict management.
- Communication and intercultural skills in an international context.
- Analytical work style with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently within international teams in a demanding and constantly changing setting.
- English and French fluency.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Travel & On‑call
Possible international business travel and occasional travel within Canada. On‑call duties during weekends and/or holiday seasons may be required.
