New or Replacement Position: Replacement Site: Toronto Western Hospital Department: Krembil Brain Institute - DBS Surgical Movement Disorders Salary: $23.14 - $28.92 per hour Shifts:
2 days per week 0830-1630 Tuesday/Thursday Permanent Part-Time The Administrative Assistant I, Medical is responsible for providing administrative and reception support within the DBS Surgical Movement Disorders at the University Health Network Toronto Western site. This role involves managing a broad range of administrative responsibilities in a dynamic academic and clinical environment. Performing reception responsibilities Providing clerical support Organizing and maintaining patient charts, electronic and paper information filing systems Performing patient administration functions including scheduling and coordinating appointments/meetings/events Coordinating unit administrative functions Ensuring the efficient operation of the unit, within the scope of authority Completion of a recognized post-secondary office administration program at the certificate level or equivalent preferred Two (2) year related clerical experience required experience working in an Microsoft Office software environment General knowledge of office practices, processes and procedures Knowledge of medical terminology Very good interpersonal and customer service skills Good data entry/keyboarding skills Ability to produce high quality work in accordance with Hospital standards Government organization and a member of the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP A flexible work environment Additional perks (multiple corporate discounts including: travel, restaurants, parking, phone plans, auto insurance discounts, in office gyms, etc.) At University Health Network (UHN), artificial intelligence technologies may be used to assist in the screening, assessment, and selection of candidates for this position.
