Teach and inspire adult learners at the Adult Learning Institute as a Teacher Aide Instructor. This part time evening role focuses on delivering essential educational skills for supporting K-12 classrooms.
The Adult Learning
Institute (ALI) is recruiting an instructor with a passion for education to guide adults pursuing careers as teacher aides. Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in Education and significant K-12 experience, ideally working with students with diverse needs. This course will prepare students on the roles of paraprofessionals, classroom management, and ethical considerations in education. Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct adults seeking to become teacher aides
- Teach on classroom organization and management
- Foster communication strategies for diverse learners
- Introduce Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Encourage ethical and legal compliance in education
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- K-12 Teaching License or appropriate certification
- Over 3 years of relevant teaching experience
- Experience with adult education preferred
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
