About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and influential AI Ethics & Governance Lead to establish and drive their responsible AI initiatives from their Kimberley office. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring our AI development and deployment align with ethical principles, regulatory requirements, and societal values. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive governance frameworks, implementing ethical review processes, and fostering a culture of accountability across the AI & Emerging Technologies division.

This is a critical position for shaping the future of trustworthy AI within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement robust AI governance policies and ethical guidelines.

- Lead the creation and execution of AI ethics review boards and processes.

- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and impact analyses for AI systems.

- Advise senior leadership and technical teams on AI ethics, fairness, and transparency.

- Monitor evolving regulations and industry best practices in AI governance.

- Foster internal education and awareness programs on responsible AI development.





Requirements

- Advanced degree in Law, Policy, Ethics, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on technology governance.

- Significant experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology policy.

- Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts and their societal implications.

- Proven ability to develop and implement complex governance frameworks.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

- Experience in risk management and regulatory compliance within a technology context.
