Make a difference in the lives of at-risk children as a Development Specialist with Allies for Every Child. This role emphasizes family engagement and quality early education.
The Child Development
Specialist will operate under the leadership of the Director of Early Care and Education, focusing on developmental assessments, home visits, and training for family child care providers.
Your responsibilities will include providing resources for families, facilitating their involvement in educational programs, and ensuring the implementation of safety protocols. Support vital programs aimed at assisting children in underserved areas. Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule evaluations and complete children’s developmental assessments
- Provide guidance and resources through home visits
- Mentor family child care home providers in educational practices
- Monitor families' needs and connect them with community resources
- Maintain records of all assessments, visits, and referrals Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Child Development or related area
- Experience in Early Education and case management preferred
- Familiarity with federal regulations regarding early education
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
- Access to reliable transportation and valid driver’s license Lead impactful early childhood initiatives while supporting families and providers as part of Allies for Every Child.
