Become a proactive Animal Control Officer II with the City of Thunder Bay, addressing municipal by-law compliance and animal welfare. Engage in investigations, compliance monitoring, and public education. As a key member of the Municipal Enforcement Services team, this role primarily responds to animal control calls, including investigating incidents and ensuring compliance with municipal by-laws.

You will assist in various compliance activities regarding parking and traffic regulations, enforcing statutes, and supporting enforcement operations in office as needed. Your vigilance will enhance community safety and welfare through effective animal control measures. Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to and investigate all animal control service calls




- Assist in municipal by-law compliance through proactive monitoring
- Document non-compliance and perform site inspections
- Prepare and serve Provincial Offences Act documents
- Support public education and enforcement blitz activities Requirements:
- Diploma in law enforcement or related field
- One year of designated MLEO experience preferred
- Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License required
- Basic proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets
