A Snapshot of Your Day Join Our Team as a Gas Turbine Controls Application Software Development Engineer! How You’ll Make An Impact Drive the product roadmap by proposing innovative solutions that enhance customer operations Contribute to projects that shape the future of energy, in a market evolving towards clean energy Manage obsolescence for our existing fleet to ensure customer satisfaction Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver solutions to both new and existing customers Design and implement software solutions for turbine control systems and develop solutions that expand our product portfolio Conduct thorough testing and deployment of software applications and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues What You Bring Have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical, control, aerospace, mechanical or instrumentation engineering with a solid understanding of gas turbine technology and engine operation.
Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience in developing software solutions, including proficiency in text‑based programming languages (such as C, C++, C#) and practical experience with PLC software and hardware interfaces (e.g. communication protocols and I/O modules) is an asset.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with scripting tools (e.g., Visual Basic, Python), systems modeling tools (such as Matlab Simulink), systems engineering techniques (such as QFD, V&V;, risk management and RCA), and experience in designing and testing HMI screens for monitoring and control. Proficient in algorithm development, implementation,
verification and validation experience (using Allen‑Bradley or Siemens PLCs an asset). Strong capability in communication protocols and functional safety.

They must possess a high level of autonomy, a commitment to stakeholder management, and a passion for personal development and continuous improvement, while adhering to lean methodology and a minimum viable product mindset. Fluent in French and English, eligible for membership in the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec; excellent time management and communication skills.
This position is in a French‑speaking workplace but requires fluency in English to comprehend documentation and technical terms from international sources, and to communicate with customers, suppliers and international colleagues.
Experience in technical project management, gated design processes and SCRUM teams are an asset.
