- Attendpre-construction meetings as required.
- Evaluate plansand specifications of construction projects to ensure compliancewith regulations.
- Perform field inspection tocheck building structure and material standards.
- Perform field andlaboratory tests on materials to measure regulatory compliance.
- Issue notices of violations and orders to stop constructionwhen structures and materials are not in accordance withregulations.
- Forward deviations and disagreements to the city engineer forclarification.
- Maintain documentationrecords.




- Perform inspections of existing structures following naturaldisasters and other events that may affect the integrity ofexisting structures.
- Assist City staff and thepublic with inquiries.
- Attend construction projectreview meetings.

Requirements

- Technical levelor suitable alternative.
- More than 2 years ofexperience as a construction inspector.
- Trained inconfined and secure spaces in OSHA construction.
- Thoroughknowledge of fall protection and work area safety.
- ICA certified.
- Valid driver's license.
- Well communication skill.
- Willing to work shifts and weekends.
- Ability to workin confined spaces.

Terms of Employment:

- 40 hours perweek

Salary: $38.46 - $45.44 perhour
