Join the City of Owen Sound team as an Arena Labourer. Contribute to the daily maintenance and cleanliness of our recreation facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all users. This position requires dedication to upholding high standards of safety and customer service. The position is expected to work between 8 and 16 hours per week. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform daily cleaning and general maintenance of two recreation facilities.
- Assist in event setup and teardown; ensure smooth operation of all events.
- Assist with on-ice duties during resurfacing
- Provide exceptional customer service to facility patrons.
- Follow and enforce health and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

- Experience:
- Previous experience in facility maintenance, particularly in municipal or public settings, is an asset.
- Certifications:
- Standard First Aid, CPR, WHMIS, Fire Extinguisher training (or willingness to obtain).
- Core Competencies:
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills
- Independent work management with attention to detail
- Knowledge of facility operation regulations and compliance
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical skills (an asset)
- Proficient in time management and adaptable to varied tasks

Salary Range:

$20.90- $23.75 hourly
