Secondary as a Personal Attendant for Autism, aiding students in their educational journey. This role offers 5.75 hours per day of crucial support, Monday to Friday. This position focuses on assisting teachers in creating effective educational programs for students with autism.
Working collaboratively, you will advocate for each student’s unique needs, making a positive impact on their learning experience. This role is key to promoting inclusivity and ensuring every student has access to quality education. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of autism-focused educational programs
- Advocate for individual student needs within the educational framework
- Work collaboratively with a diverse school team
- Engage in practices that enhance student inclusiveness
- Maintain an exemplary driving record with your Class 5 BC License
Requirements:
- Grade 12 completion (Dogwood Certificate)
- Education Assistant Certificate Program completed
- Completed 30-hour POPARD course
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
- 6 months experience with individuals having behavioral issues
