There are automotive shops where a technician spends most of the day moving through the same narrow range of jobs. Our client is an established Burlington automotive service business handling everything from routine maintenance and diagnostics through brakes, suspension, steering, transmission work, electrical concerns, HVAC and more. Quality matters here.

So does doing the diagnosis properly, communicating clearly with the people around you and sending vehicles back to customers knowing the work has been done well. 38 to $40 per hour ~ Monday to Friday ~No regularly scheduled evenings or weekends ~ On-site parking For an experienced automotive technician who has had enough of schedules that consume evenings or Saturdays, the working hours alone make this one worth a closer look. *Offers are determined based on relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and alignment with the role’s requirements. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates who fully meet all requirements and qualifications outlined in this posting and the official . One of the biggest attractions of this role may be something increasingly difficult to find in the automotive trade.

Monday to Friday. leaving evenings and weekends to you. Add an hourly rate of $38 to $40, healthcare, dental and vision coverage, and you have a strong opportunity for an experienced 310S technician who wants good automotive work without giving up the rest of the week to do it. You’ll be joining an established shop where the work is varied enough to keep your diagnostic and mechanical skills sharp.





One vehicle may need straightforward preventative maintenance; the next could require you to work through a drivability problem, electrical fault, brake issue or suspension concern. For someone with at least five years behind them who is comfortable taking a vehicle from initial complaint through diagnosis, repair and final verification, there should be plenty here to keep the work interesting. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing cars and light-duty vehicles across a broad range of systems.

Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle concerns. Performing scheduled and preventative maintenance. Diagnosing engine performance and drivability problems. Completing transmission and drivetrain service and repairs.

Diagnosing charging, starting, ignition and electrical system concerns. Working on cooling, heating and automotive HVAC systems. Reviewing technical information and manufacturer repair procedures before completing repairs.

Verifying that repairs have corrected the original concern. Working with service staff and fellow technicians to keep jobs moving through the shop. At least 5 years of hands-on automotive service and repair experience.

Broad experience working on cars and light-duty vehicles.





Experience diagnosing engine performance and drivability problems.Solid familiarity with automotive electrical and electronic systems.

Experience performing scheduled maintenance and general mechanical repairs. The ability to work from wiring diagrams, service information and repair procedures.

Experience carrying a repair through from initial diagnosis to completed and verified work. The strongest fit will be a technician who combines good mechanical ability with good judgment. A valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification.

A positive working knowledge of modern automotive mechanical and electronic systems. Familiarity with current automotive diagnostic tools and shop equipment. The ability to organize your work and keep repairs moving without sacrificing quality.

Valid

Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification. Red Seal endorsement is an asset. Additional automotive diagnostic, electrical or manufacturer‑specific technical training would also be an asset.
