Empower children’s activities as an Auxiliary Out of School Care Leader with the Esquimalt Recreation Centre. This role considers shifts Monday to Friday while facilitating engaging programs and supervised care.

The Recreation

Department seeks a motivated individual to assume this part time role within the vibrant Township of Esquimalt. The successful candidate must coordinate snack supervision, lead afternoon activities such as gym games and crafts, and ensure behavior management and safety for participating children.

Your role will support a positive environment while embodying inclusivity and community spirit. Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise children's snack time during care sessions
- Escort children between Esquimalt Recreation Centre and Macaulay Elementary




- Plan and lead engaging afternoon activities
- Manage behavior, parent communication, and safety protocols
- Administer First Aid and medication with guardian consent

Requirements:

- Minimum 19 years of age
- 20 hours of training in child development or safety
- Current First Aid and CPR C Certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check required
- Passion for nurturing children’s growth and activity
