If you want to make a difference and energize your career, Wurth Canada has a great prospect for you. We are looking for a Senior Payroll and Project Specialist with prior experience delivering accurate and timely payroll while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for :

- Process payroll accurately and on time across bi-weekly and semi-monthly pay cycles for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees.

- Ensure payroll, commission, and employee data accuracy in ADP through strong controls, reconciliations, and review processes.

- Maintain compliance with payroll legislation, internal controls, audit requirements,



and established payroll deadlines.

- Continuously review payroll processes, controls, and procedures to identify opportunities that improve efficiency, strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and support operational excellence.

- Partner with Payroll, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and implement payroll process improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency and employee experience.

- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, reporting capabilities, and automation.

- Provide back up support and coverage for HRIS reporting and data management.

- Collaborate effectively with Payroll, HR, Finance, and Sales Operations to support accurate commission administration and issue resolution.

- Monitor and contribute to key payroll KPIs, including payroll accuracy, on-time processing, reconciliation quality, audit readiness, and reduction of payroll errors.

- Participate in testing activities, implement process improvements, and support knowledge sharing.

What YOU Will Bring To This Role

- 7+ years of progressive payroll experience in complex environments including hourly, salaried and commission-based payrolls

- Bilingualism in FrenchEn and English is greatly preferred - verbal and written to allow nation wide support to the organization.

- Experience working in shared or dual accountability models.

- Proven experience identifying and implementing payroll process improvements that enhance efficiency, controls, and operational effectiveness.

- Strong hands‑on experience with ADP Payroll and HRIS modules (Workforce Now) and multi‑frequency payroll processing.

- Advanced Excel skills, including reconciliation and data validation.

- Strong working knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation.

- PCP designation required; CPM or CCP considered an asset.





- Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics AX and SAP;

experience supporting system transitions or implementations is strongly preferred, as the organization plans to transition from Dynamics to SAP within the next two years.

- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with proven ability to build partnerships with multiple stakeholders

- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate constructively within a small team with shared accountabilities for payroll operations

- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong accuracy and control mindset.

- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem‑solving skills.

- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive payroll and compensation data.

- Experience supporting payroll system enhancements, upgrades, implementations, or testing activities is considered an asset.

- Experience working within collaborative payroll environments with shared operational accountabilities and peer review processes.
