Position Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatics Scientist in the Department of Research and Development. The successful candidate will focus on the analysis of large NGS datasets and machine learning models for cancer early detection and minimal residual disease (MRD) detection. This position will provide ample opportunities for professional development and the acquisition of cutting-edge skills in AI and cancer genomics research.

Responsibilities include

- Applies bioinformatics methods to process cancer NGS data;
- Conducts various statistical analyses for cancer early detection and minimum residual disease detection;
- Develop feature engineering and preprocessing techniques to handle highly noisy sequencing data, including denoising and dimensionality reduction.
- Design and implement machine learning models suitable for large-scale genomic datasets, focusing on cancer early detection and MRD detection.Records all analysis steps in an accurate,



timely and clearly presented manner, and use this to prepare data summaries and reports as and when required;
- Performs literature reviews, prepares data visualization, and drafts scientific publications;
- Prepares conference abstracts, posters and presentations;
- Other duties as assigned.

Position requirements

- Ph.D degree in bioinformatics, mathematics,computational biology, biostatistics or a related discipline required;
- Strong background with unix/linux tools and experience with PERL, PYTHON or related data analysis languages;
- At least 2 years of work experience in machine learning, with a robust background in algorithm development.
- Must have experience developing custom machine learning models from scratch—not just using pre-built modeling packages.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
