About This Opportunity
Traverse Independence is a not-for-profit providing specialized support for youth and adults with brain injuries and physical disabilities across the Region of Waterloo and the County of Wellington. The services are not only focused on the most marginalized in our community, but with those who are transitioning to stability and independence.
We are seeking a director to join this progressive, exciting, and vibrant professional group of governors. If you want to be effective in your local community, this is the board for you. You will receive comprehensive orientation and on-going training and support. This group of professionals works well together and is highly supportive of current members.
The board meets on the last Wednesday of each month from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and the commitment is for a two-year term with an option to renew. *Dinner is provided when meetings are in person,
but virtual meeting attendance on occasion is always an option as well. It is important that board members also attend a few board functions and client events through out the year if available.
