B&R; Eckel’s is seeking a Business Development Manager in Heavy Haul to support customer growth and market development connected to Calgary, AB. This role focuses on new business, customer relationships, market research, proposals, and collaboration with operations to support complex transportation needs.

Identify new business opportunities and build customer relationships in heavy haul and over-dimensional freight. Develop strategic plans to increase sales and support growth in targeted transportation markets. Create presentations and proposals, attend industry events, and provide strong customer service.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the heavy haul and overdimensional freight market. Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers, manufacturers, project managers, and logistics coordinators. Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate quoting, planning,



and execution of complex loads.

Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote services and generate leads. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic sales initiatives. Proven experience in sales or business development within trucking, logistics, or transportation.

Solid understanding of heavy haul, overdimensional freight, permitting, and route planning. Ability to perform market research and sales forecasting. Self-motivated with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
